Background
I am Alex, a software developer with industrial roots, a self-taught path into software and a very practical view of technical problems.
I started as a mechatronics engineer. In the automotive industry I maintained production systems, programmed robots, worked with PLC environments and helped plan technical projects with team responsibility.
Moving into software was not a branding exercise. It was the logical next step: I wanted to design, improve and automate systems instead of only keeping them running.
Today I work remotely from Madeira and build platforms, apps and internal systems for clients across Europe. My focus is software that understands real workflows, can be operated cleanly and does not become the next operational problem.
I work directly, honestly and close to the product. No bloated process, no empty buzzwords, just clear communication, technical ownership and transparent decisions.

Assistance, content automation and rule or warning support within existing platforms.
Connect models with data and tools while accounting for permissions, failures, cost and human approval.

Sole proprietorship in Portugal, working remotely for clients across Europe. Development and operation of apps, platforms, internal systems and owned products.
Founded my own web development agency. Full project responsibility from client acquisition to implementation.
Entry into web development at an advertising agency. Self-taught learning of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frameworks.
Automotive industry: Complex plant control, robot programming (KUKA, ABB), PLC development (Siemens, Beckhoff), service & maintenance. Engineering projects with team and planning responsibility.

Features and decisions become reviewable regularly instead of after one long delivery block.
Failure modes, permissions, deployment, diagnostics and future maintenance are part of product development.
